This is a dubl duck Satinedge straight razor that was made in Solingen, Germany.  Lack of hone wear shows this razor to be in defect and blemish free, flawless condition. It is very rare to find a dubl duck Satinedge in this fine condition. Usually and mostly you will find, especially dubl duck "Satinedge" razors with blemished and/or defective scales. The transparent amber coloration of the Satinedge scales have much to do wuith the blemishes that occur with Satinedge models. For whatever reason Satinedge razors were not made in as large quantities as the other duck models, i.e., the main models,  Lifetime, Wonderedge, Goldedge and Special #1 razors. They are therefore more rare and hard to come by, especially in fine condition. The blade of this razor is made of carbon steel with a hollow grind, and is 5/8 wide. The celluloid scales are in perfect condition. This razors original vinyl case is included with this razor. This razor is in perfect mechanical condition all around. Recently honed and stropped to provide a clean, close and comfortable shave this razor comes guaranteed shave ready. Not only a beauty to look at, but a sweet shaving razor. This is an Echo straight razor that was made in Germany by, The Echo Razor, Company. This razor has been refinished and polished to better than new condition. This is a Filarmonica Doble Temple straight razor that was made in the city of Mataró, in the province of Barcelona Spain. It is a second generation Filarmonica. Second generation filly's were made from 1967 to 1979. It is in perfect condition. The blade size of this particular razor is 13/16 wide, is hollow ground and is made of carbon steel. On the tang front side is marked "Doble Temple" indicating the temper in this blade has been twice hardened. The tang is both top and bottom jimped for a better non-slip grip. The scales on this razor are black celluloid. This razor has been recently honed and stropped to provide a smooth, close, and comfortable shave, and it comes guaranteed shave ready. 

Some Filarmonica history - The company started manufacturing straight razors in 1915 in the city of Mataró, province of Barcelona. They are considered to be one of the very best manufacturers of straight razors on the planet. About 1990 the company shut down all operations and closed their doors. On the front side blade face and also the tang is marked Novodur indicating the temper in this blade has been twice hardened. The hone wear is almost non-existant.The tang is both top and bottom jimped for a better non-slip grip. The scales on this razor are red celluloid. This razor comes with a proper Novodur box, but is not original to this razor. This razor has been recently honed and stropped to provide a smooth, close, and comfortable shave, and it comes guaranteed shave ready.

This is a William Greaves and Sons straight razor that was made sometime between 1823 and 1858 in Sheffield, England. This razor is in excellent aesthetic and physical condition.

Here is a little info from the following known history regarding Grevaes. Reports state that William Greaves started in business in 1775 on Burgess street in Sheffield England. By 1817, William Greaves had moved to Division Street and had brought his sons - Edeard and Richard - into the business. In 1823, the Greaves family built Sheaf Works, it was the first sign that great changes were underway in the Sheffield cutlery trade. The main block of Sheaf Works (still standing in Maltravers Street near the Wicker) was the centrepiece of the first large-scale factory in the town. In 1850, William Greaves & Sons was dissolved, The firm was sold to B.J.Eyre & Company in 1850, and the Greaves markings continued to be used until approximately until 1858. Of particular note, is that when Greaves sold the business to B. J. Eyre in 1850 he had become one of the wealthiest men in England.

Of course razors were not the only cutting items that were made in the Greaves factory. Other items included draw knives, chizels, shears, axes and hatchets, etc.....The particulars of this razor are that the blade is 6/8 wide, is made of carbon steel with a hollow grind. Attached to this blade are black celluloid scales. Recently honed and stropped to provide a smooth, close and comfortable shave, this razor comes guaranteed shave ready. It is a nostalgic treat to hold and shave with the charisma of a more than 150 year old razor.
