This is a Wade & Butcher, "For Barber's Use" razor, that was made in Sheffield, England. To determine this razor's approximate age, note the short upturned monkey tail, the rough steel surfaces on the tang and monkey tail prior to what is now refinished mirror finished surfaces. Even so these old razors are every bit as good and sometimes better than razors being made in later years and even today. This blade has a 7/8 wide, carbon steel, hollow ground blade. This blade carries brand new custom made genuine bone scales. Recently honed and stropped to provide a smooth, close, and comfortable shave this razor comes guaranteed shave ready.
