This is a Beau Brummel straight razor that was made in Solingen, Germany by the Brummel Werks plant. This razor is in excellent superb condition. Beau Brummel razors are highly sought after as one of the top quality razors in design, manufacture, and shaving quality. History note: All three companies of dubl duck fame, Bresnick, Bresduck and Pearlduck were supply houses, (distributors) and they didn't manufacture anything. All the razors they sold were made by various razor manufacturing companies. Beau Brummel was originally marketed by them as well as others. Later on Pearlduck got to be the exclusive distributer for Beau Brummel razors. Beau Brummel razors were made by the Beau Brummel Company in Solingen Germany. The Beau Brummel Company was in business in Solingen, Germany from 1930 to 1952. This razor's blade is 5/8 wide, is made of carbon steel with a hollow grind. The blade opens and closes with proper tension and is well centered between the scales. Recently honed to provide a clean, close and smooth comfortable shave this razor comes guaranteed shave ready.
