Here is a Sta-Sharp straight razor that was made in Germany and distributed by Sears & Roebuck & Co. It is in excellent condition, but with light scratches just above and along the cutting edge bevel. This is minor but is a blemish that effects the appearance and so is reflected in a reduced price for this razor. These scratches can be readily seen in numbers 4 and 5 photos. Sta-Sharp razors are one of the most sought after razors ever made. It is considered to be one of the most beautifully ever designed razors and also one of the very best shaving razors ever made. The front blade face has one of the most appealing and exquisite engravings ever done to a razor. Showing no hone wear the blade is 5/8 wide, is made of carbon steel, with a hollow grind. This blade carries its factory original cracked ice, perlex type, celluloid scales. They are in excellent condition. Included with this razor is its original box that is in perfect physical condition and aesthetic surface worn. Marked on the back of the box top (see photo number 10) is the date of November 27th, 1944. Certain assumption is that this was the purchase date. Recently honed to provide a smooth, close and comfortable shave, this razor comes guaranteed shave ready.
