Here is a razor that came to me with no brand name. It came to me because it is in such good condition and bears the marks of a quality razor.  This quality has been proven that to me from several shaves. Exactly when this razor was made is unknown as the tang sides where printing usually occurs was for whatever reason, not there. Whether omitted by the factory or later removed ?????

Therefore, I don't know just when this razor was made, but theses types of  razors with a wide blade, upturned monkey tail, lead wedge and horn scales were mostly made in the later half of the 1800'S and manufacture was curtailed mostly and shortly into the 1900's. The blade is made of carbon steel, is hollow ground and is a full 8/8 " wide. The tang and all steel surfaces have been polished to a lustrous surface finish. The original black horn scales (and lead wedge) have been restored inside and outside to a smooth shiny defect and blemish free surface finish. 

Mechanically this blade opens and closes nice and smooth. Recently honed and stropped to provide a smooth, close and comfortable shave this razor comes guaranteed shave ready. These wide razors are now selling in the 5 to 6 hundred range, but because of the name being omitted the price for this razor is much less than that.
