Here is a Red Imp #133 that is in factory new superb condition. Red Imps are a very hard to beat razor and it is pure happintance when you come across one in this splended unused condition. Highly sought after Red Imps aways provide a great shave. They have the reputation of dependability. Nothing real fancy, and always with just the one factory style of red celluloid scales, just great dependability. I have no information as to why two different manufacturing companies names appear on Red Imps. They are the Case Razor Company in the U.S.A., and Morris in Germany, who on ocassion are tied in with Ludo Mfg. in Germany, which this razor is. Whichever company made them, they are all made to the same exact designs and manufacturing standards and of the same steel and quality. The blade on this razor is 5/8 wide, is made of carbon steel with a hollow grind. The blade faces, and in fact, all the steel surfaces are polished to a lustrous high mirror finish. The factory original, 3 pin, scales are in excellent condition. Whatever the plastic composition of Red Imp celluloid scales is, they are very durable. I once had a scrap set of Red Imp scales and I was curious as to how durable they are. I bent them backwards and forwards into a complete U to where the ends touched,,,and they never broke, as most harder celluloid will break with only slight bending. Because of this softness the scales can be bent by hand a bit to bring an offset blade to center between the scales. This can also be done with some other types of celluloid compositions, but be careful with these other types and use a light touch to feel your way. This razor comes with it's original box that has a soiled label, but other wise is in like new condition. It is made of the newer type hard durable plastic compared to the old hard paper material. Recently hopned to provide a smooth, close and comfortable shave, this razor comes guaranteed shave ready.
