This is a vintage Schick Injector Safety Razor that is in perfect fully restored condition. All surfaces have been cleaned, sanitized and refinished as necessary to result in a near new aesthetic condition, and like new working condition. The outside surface of this razor is unique in that it was manufactured with a textured speckled brass finish rather than the usual smooth brass finish. This razor has a new blade already installed in it, and thus comes ready to shave with. It also comes with a brand new Schick 7 blade dispenser. This dispenser has an attached key that slides into the razor head, then injects a new blade while at the same time ejects the old blade. Schick blades are made of stainless steel and electronically metalized with durable chromium and polymer coated to insure closeness and comfort. Schick blades are still being made in this country and in several other countries, Derby blades in Turkey, Gillette blades in Russia, and are readily available in many various brands on the internet. This razor will last a lifetime if properly taken care of and it comes with complete "How To Use" and" Cleaning" instructions. This injector razor will provide a very economical alternative shaving method compared to the cost of present day safety razors. These injector blades sell for less than $1.00 per blade. Just Google "injector blades" and you will find many sources for Schick, Persona and other brand injector blades. UNIQUE FEATURE: Those of you that are familiar with "THE EARLY" models of the Schick Injector razor, may remember that the little lever that is under the head of Schick Injector type razors like this razor, was made to easily swing to the side so the lower jaw of the head would drop open wide. This exposed all the inside parts of the head and the head could be easily cleaned. This model was not made for very long, and there are not many of them still in existence. All models that followed the early models with the swing away lever, were made with the lever fixed in place. Thus, this lever could not be moved to swing away and the razors quickly became loaded with gunk, shaving soap residue, skin scrapings, DNA and whatever, most usually within 2 to 3 months, depending on how often the razor was used. UNIQUE FEATURE: I have devised a method to alter the locking lever mechanism to allow for the lever to swing away from the lower jaw exactly as the early models did, thus allowing for easy and quick cleaning of all inside parts of the head. Just put a little dab of liquid soap on an old toothbrush, scrub the inside surfaces, and in a minute or two the inside of the head is completely cleaned. I have altered "ALL" my Schick Injector razors to this unique feature. This feature works absolutely perfectly without any problems.
